extensor pollicis brevis tendon ( RID2375 )
Radiographs reported by a colleague as possible phlebolith, MRI recommended (which I dont really understand). The axial images show prominent spurring along the dorsal margin of the lateral distal radius at the 1st extensor compartment (red arrow); note the superficial pressure erosion deep to the EPB and APL, indicating chronicity. The spur corresponds to the dark focus in the Cor GRE image. The calcification is along the dorsal surface of the EPB (white arrow). There is only mild intrasubstance signal within the EPB and minimal tenosynovitis at this time.
