macrodystrophia There is enlargement of all 3 phalanges of the ring finger with severe hypertrophic MCP and IP DJD and prominent osteophytic spurring without osseous phalangeal enlargement of the middle and small fingers. Lateral view shows fibrofatty overgrowth at the palmar aspect of the RF>SF>MF. There is also bridging bone at the base of the 3rd-4th MC, and a small exostosis arising from the volar midshaft RF prox phalanx. Is this Macrodystrophia Lipomatosa? Is there a DDx (NF?). Is recent onset swelling a function of progressive DJD? He is long since skeletally mature. [ Article ]
