adhesive capsulitis In #1-3 the thickened capsule is indicated by the white arrows. It is most marked in the axillary recess and posterosuperior capsule, but also involves the RI capsule (though there is no encasement of the CHL). IN #3 there is pericapsular edema in the Biceps Labral Oblique image. Note the appearance of a SLAP tear (yellow arrows): we have seen this resolve in follow up imaging of pts with adhesive capsulitis after those symptoms resolve, and presume that is artifactual due to inflammation at the labrocapsular junction. In this pt, It is not clear if this is artifact or superimposed SLAP tear. His age/gender are unusual for frozen shoulder. He has large bilateral plantar fibromas. There is a strong association b/t AC and Dupuytrens and I suspect, as Dupuytrens and plantar fibroma are both in the spectrum of fibromatosis, that these are related, though I cannot find a report of an increased incidence or correlation of AC with plantar fibroma. Have you seen this?
