lateral synovial fold ( RID2024 )
In the current and prior MRI there is mild unchanged common extensor tendinosis without tear. Todays MRI shows thickening, fraying and bright intrasubstance T2 signal of the posterior radiohumeral synovial fold, which is presumably contributing to posterolateral impingement. Had I not had the normal fold in the prior comparison, Im not sure I would have noticed or reported this. According to Dr. Luis Cerezal in his article (see attached), this can be confused clinically with lateral epicondylitis.
