infraspinatus tendon ( RID1949 )
The 1st 3 images are from the new MRI, last 2 from 5 months prior, before repeat surgery. In the new MRI note the tear of the anterosuperior transverse portion of the Infraspinatus tendon, referred to as the novel lesion, which will be missed by MR arthrography. The subdeltoid bursal fluid is mostly posterior in proximity to the new tendon tear. The larger oblique portion of the infraspinatus tendon remains intact. This is particularly well demonstrated in the BLO sequence which is in plane with the infraspinatus tendon insertion. [ Article ]
