osteomyelitis ( RID3715 ) of the 2nd ray and gangrene
Bone destructive change on T1 weighted images. Bone marrow edema on STIR images. Soft tissue air most consistent with gangrene. There was a pathologic fracture of the 2nd metatarsal neck. See excellent article from The Mayo Clinic. [ Article ]
