Meralgia paraesthetica Short segment of swollen hyperintense lateral femoral cutaneous nerve (arrowed) appears to pass directly through the outer end of inguinal ligament as suggested by the axial 2D sections. Note the swollen nerve segment shows an obliquely orientated band of indentation by the ligament on the coronal reformation.
