meniscal cyst ( RID3915 )
There is an accessory Iliotibial band-meniscal ligament...which we have seen on several occasions on OCAD over the years and was recently published in a wonderful article by Zimmerman, etal. In this case there seems to be intrameniscal signal and cyst formation (white arrows) in the region of the AH lateral meniscal root and paracentral anterior horn. The large parameniscal cyst is considerably larger compared with prior from 5yrs ago (not shown). The cyst ascends within the anterolateral infrapatellar fat pad and insinuates between the AIML (red arrows) and the ITB proper. [ Article ]
