osteonecrosis ( RID5180 )
This is a question of causation (I am reporting this case, it is not yet a legal case, but might well become one). There is advanced FH AVN with anterosuperior articular collapse, anterosuperior cartilage thinning and delaminating labral tear, extensive BME and synovitis. There is geographic BME of the posterosuperior acetabulum which might be subacute contusion. Is the trauma history unrelated to this AVN? Is there any possibility he might have posteriorly dislocated without contour defect / fracture of the posterior acetabular wall or impaction of the anterior femoral head?
