posterior horn of medial meniscus ( RID2776 )
There is a chronic non displaced avulsion of the posterior horn medial meniscal root (thick white arrow) and small associated meniscal ossicle (thin white arrow); in this case there is no menical body extrusion or medial compartment cartilage thinning which suggests this might be stable. There is a mass in the posteromedial IC notch (red arrow), close to the chronic avulsion. Would you favor TGTTS (PVNS) or might you suggest a reactive fibrotic mass, given its proximity to the meniscal root lesion? I have never seen reactive fibrosis related to meniscal root pathology, have you?
