Its not what you expect. No plantar plate tear. No interdigital neuroma. There is a ganglion lateral to the 2nd MT head/neck junction (white arrow) arising from a chronic partial tear of the accessory collateral ligament (red arrow). In the schematic by my dear friend Caio Nery, MD, note the relationship of the accessory collateral ligament (red arrow), the phalangeal collateral ligament (blue arrow) and the plantar plate (shaded in red).
