coracoclavicular ligament ( RID1901 )
The surgeon resected undersurface ACJ osteophytes and performed a biceps tenodesis. I understand that we are only imagers, but I find it odd that the surgeon did not address the subacromial enthesophyte or CAL which appear to impinge on the supraspinatus. There is acquired ACJ instability which has led to rupture of the coracoclavicular ligament (note soft tissue edema at the site of the torn CC ligament). At 5 months post-op, Im not sure if this degree of capsular thickening and edema is normal or might suggest post-op capsulitis (?). [ Article ]
