Flexor Digitorum Accessorius Longus
From RG: An FDAL has a prevalence of up to 12.2% in patients with tarsal tunnel syndrome and has also been associated with tenosynovitis of the FHL tendon. Attachment onto the flexor digitorum longus or quadratus plantae allows differentiation from other accessory muscles within the tarsal tunnel, such as peroneocalcaneus internus (PCI) and tibiocalcaneus internus (TCI) muscles, which insert onto the calcaneus.
