In 2008 there was no degenerative cartilage loss and there was only focal nodular PVNS with large effusion. XRs from 2015 show new mild to moderate medial femorotibial and patellofemoral DJD. Todays MRI shows severe DJD which preferentially affects the medial compartment (there is also degenerative medial meniscal tear, new c/w 2008). There is diffuse, massive synovial thickening with innumerable dark signal synovial deposits. Ive not seen this sort of aggressive progression, from focal to diffuse PVNS. Have you?
