stress fracture ( RID4695 )
XRs are seemingly normal. Cor and Sag MRI show marrow +/- periosteal edema. Only the axial MR images show the longitudinal cortical fracture of the anterolateral distal tibia. The final close up AP XR shows (arrowheads) the mineralized callus related to the longitudinal stress fracture. I am curious if you all distinguish between tibial stress reaction and stress fracture in your reports.
