Palmer class 1B lesion, subtype partial foveal (non-communicating tear)
Palmer class 1B lesion is one of the main indications of MR-arthrography.
Partial noncomunicating tears affecting the fovea ulnar attachment are common injuries, and only can be adequately diagnosed with DRUJ MR-arthrography. This type of injury is frequently misdiagnosed on conventional MR and in radiocarpal MR arthrography.
The treatment in these patients consists in arthroscopic foveal TFC reinsertion. [ Article ]
