Discussion

Calcinosis of chronic renal failure.

Initial (images 1, 2) and 2 yrs later (images 3-6).

Also called uremic or secondary or non familial tumoral calcinosis. Associated with hyperphosphatemia. Commonly involves bursa around large joints. Multicystic with calcium fluid levels called the sedimentation sign. Inhomogeneous lesions on all MR sequences.
