Discussion

Ancient schwannoma: rare, schwannoma variant, slow growing neoplasm. Antony A area: hypercellular, spindle cells . Antony B area: hypocellular, less organised, myxoid, high water contents “ancient” : group of neural tumors showing degenerative change, diffuse hypocellular areas - mimic malignant tumor focal accumulation of hyaline material, calcifications, cystic necrosis, hemorrhage, fatty degeneration
