Discussion

Typical findings of a posterior hip dislocation including labral detachment. What is unusual in my experience (although well described) is the femoral head fracture, sort of like a hill sachs equivalent. In this case it is a pipkin type 1 or 2 fracture (see article). It extends to the fovea capitis and minimally above on an image (not shown). No plain films or CT for me to compare so I am unsure if there is a posterior acetabular fracture. Reference article.
