Discussion

The x-ray and first 2 images are from initial presentation in 2013. Last MRI image is from 2 years later, after treatment. Primary Non Hodgkins lymphoma of bone in general carries a better prognosis than diffuse nodal disease. Patient presented with osseous and local nodal disease. This patient had chemotherapy and radiation and is presently doing well.
Primary lymphoma of bone can look like stress reaction and that is the common misdiagnosis. Especially if it presents with less advanced disease than this case.
If you see unusual stress reaction or especially in an unusual place, consider this diagnosis.
